Matters arising from the minutes.
Suggestions were put forward for locating extra litter and dog bins. The cost was questioned but Cllr Firmin said this would be incorporated into existing collection rounds. It was suggested that there would be savings on collection of random litter.
A request for hand operated gritters, possibly available to borrow from the Parish Office would be looked into.
A delegation from the executive committee would meet with Cllr Firmin to discuss in detail the multi-use games area (MUGA) at Broadgreen Centre on Wednesday 14th March. Cllr Firmin said there was potential for more facilities at the County Ground Playground. BSACC had objected to the County Ground extension field plans and would formally attend the SBC planning meeting on 13th March.
It was notes that Budget Bikes had extended to premises on the other side of Corporation St, causing even more pavement obstruction. There also appeared to be a tattoo studio operating there - a BSACC member had reported this to SBC which was looking into the relevant licensing.
Street Food Festival - 16th June 2018.
Gifty Tawiah reported on progress so far. It was suggested that there might be problems with drivers parking in contravention of the temporary road closures - Gifty said there would be powers to move vehicles as a last resort.
It was noted that Broadgreen Centre receipts now exceeded expenses.
Other business.
IT Secretary Rob Williams presented a mock-up for a recruitment/publicity flier for BSACC.
There had been some difficulty finding the defibrillator following the transition from SBC to SSPC at Broadgreen Centre
