Town Centre Locality/Councillors' reports;
Mark Walker and Councillor Bob Wright combined their reports as a joint presentation.
SBC are encouraging all community areas to become Parish Councils. Council Wright said he did not think this was necessarily a good idea,
Cllr. Wright had brought up the problems with, "boy racers," with the Police and Crime Commissioner.
Cllr. Wright would follow up on the removal of a problem bus shelter in Manchester Rd.

In reply to a suggestion that a centrally located skip might be provided to reduce fly-tipping. Mark Walker said that this was not SBC policy as it was considered this increased rubbish brought into the area from outside. In reply to a further question, he said that CCTV coverage did not protect against people whose faces were obscured. However, the matter was being considered and a compromise solution might be possible.
It was reported by a resident that yet another licence premises was being opened in Manchester Rd. Cllr. Wright said that the, "cumulative impact policy," was still being pursued.

Other Business.
An enthusiastic report was presented by Eiles Robinson regarding the activities of the Broadgreen Street Champions.
Mention was also made of the very successful dinner organsied by Ishmael Stevens. A lasting outcome from this event would be the solution of some technical food safety obligations incurred by the regular lunch club.
An issue regarding street ballgames was noted.

An up-to-date statement of accounts had been given in the preceeding Annual General Meeting, and there was no Secretary to report correspondence (there had been no correspondence), so the meeting was closed at 8.05 pm.
