Minutes from the Community Council meeting held on 7th September 2016

Members present; chair Pam Freegard, treasurer Bob Walter, Brenda Arnold, Muhamed Chaudhry, John Clark, Violet Clark, John Freegard, Paul Izquierdo, Kate Johnson, Cluniford Mason, Madge Sutton, Bob Wedge, Robert Williams.

Also present; Frances Barrone (town centre Localities Facilitator).

Localities issues (Frances Barrone).
Frances Barrone announced a 'Clean and Green' event to be held on Wednesday 14th September for voluntary graffito removal, signage cleaning etc.
The community centre newsletter was publicised.
The next phase of the parishing consultation was noted. There would be a public meeting at the community centre on Wednesday 20th September about this. Pam Freegard announced that it was intended to invite the chair and Clerk of Haydon Wick Parish Council to a future Community Council meeting to give an insight into parish council working. It was noted that the latest consultation map was particularly unclear.


Announcement of AGM.
The 2016 AGM would be held at the community centre on Wednesday 5th October at 7.15 pm.

Other business.
Chair Pam Freegard would be attending a meeting regarding the retrospective planning application for the ATM at 4-5 Manchester Rd, which had created parking and light pollution problems.
Francess Barrone highlighted the existence of a planning document which could be used to submit details of alleged infringements.
It was noted that no date had yet been set for the licensing panel consideration of the above premises' off-licence application.
An increase in littering and fly-tipping in the Broadgreen area was noted. Possible solutions were discussed briefly, including a local flyer and/or poster campaign to be considered in more detail later.
