COMMITTEE MEETING NOTES - 02 April 2014 – 8.45pm to 9.15pm

We have to hold our AGM by September at the latest. It was proposed and agreed that Wednesday 02 July would be the provisional date.
BSACC community event in the summer – Hire 2 back rooms, offer hanging baskets for residents to make up, possibly some people could then hang them on houses.
Bring own food as not able to provide and cook etc as have been done previously.
Display of historical images – Kevin and Bob.
Offers of help were given by a number of the committee.
Gardens/green areas – Wooden boxes/raised beds at the Broadgreen Centre and at the end of Manchester Road/County Road junction – talk to probation service about making planters for this.
Medgbury Road – would still like this to be planted with wild flowers.
Concerns raised that unless these areas were looked after properly they would become an eyesore and rubbish dump – a number of people were prepared, if these ideas went ahead, to keep any eye on them and tidy as necessary.
There was still an interest in having food handling and First Aid courses for the BSACC.
